They admitted they never had family photos taken.
They said it as if they felt bad.
I explained to them that most families only invest in family portraits once every 5 to 10 years and that they were completely normal.
To which I received a few laughs and smart remarks from Keith :)
And the rest of the afternoon held the same sort of feel.
We joked, laughed and had a great time exploring the location they had picked for their first ever family portraits.
Keith & Sheena had taken time to look for the perfect spot, when they told me Bailey's Point, I said sure and didn't think too much more about it.
Until I arrived.....Wow!
I walked the whole length of the beach with the stupidest grin on my face because I loved it so much.
It had old falling down sheds, awesome rugged rocks and of course the beautiful beach and water.
I also found out that Bailey's Point used to be the spot where the large ships from "back in the day" would dock for the trading post since it's one of the deepest parts of the bay.
I may have some of the facts mixed up but that's the jest of it :)
I say old falling down shed, Keith says this used to be someone's house. Either way I say awesome!
Some fun skipping rocks
And jumping rocks
My fave!!!!
Charlie is adorable.
Which I'm sure a soon to be 12 year old boy doesn't want to be called but he really is!
Funny story....
I was looking through my viewfinder setting up this shot and I kept telling Keith and Sheena to get closer, get closer.
What I didn't realize is that little "gap" between them is actually a huge gap!
Honestly I didn't notice!
No harm was intended. I still don't think they believe me....lol.
Sheena, Keith & Charlie I love you guys!
I love how you're a genuine family.
I love that you're the real deal. Simple, fun, honest.
And you get brownie points for picking my favourite location thus far :)
With much appreciation, Christa
